squeaky

Jack got some squeaky shoes - kinda funny. Just found them on ebay from some chinese seller last year, they have adorable girl shoes that squeak (click here to see ) and a few boys' shoes that squeak AND look cute. I'd bought them for friends of mine before, but now I feel bad for giving such a noisy gift. I can see how they COULD get annoying....They're too big, but if he wears his footsie pajamas and THEN we put them on, they fit fine! He sure looks like a dork with them on, but he seems to be quite amused by them. Jack's almost 15 months now. Not talking, just babbles "dada" and "nana" which I think is mama. Also says "dew-dew" or "doh-doh" when he sees a dog. Definitely different than "dada." But wow, this age sure is hard. It's been a while since I had one this age...and when my girls were this age, I thought they were so crazy and active. Boy was my vision skewed. THIS person, Jack, is crazy and active. I recently found that he'd climbed atop our kitchen table and stood there proudly eating an apple, with one foot in the fruit bowl he got the apple from. It was like his symbol of conquering the table-climb. Such a boy. He's constantly scraped or cut or bruised, often on his face because he seems to fall flat on it often. But battle wounds are cute, as long as they don't involve any medical professionals I say!!!
