little stars

My girls were in a musical at our church in early December. They'd rehearsed for it, along with more than 60 kids, for months already, and it turned out SO cute!
Sidney was part of the start of the show, in the picture below. She is running from a boy who was holding mistletoe over her head. She runs through the church, exits out the back, and then he returns wrapped up in the Christmas lights and wreath she's holding. So cute.

Sidney had a few costume changes during the show - she started out in her "street clothes" like the first picture, then she changed into a sheep costume, then into her lego costume. We made her lego costume here at home. It's made of shoe boxes, shoe box lids, and dixie cup bottoms as the pegs. I think she looks so cute!!!

My sweet Alyssa was dressed as a Teddy Bear. Her costume was hand made by my mother in law, Mary. Here she's pictured singing a few lines of a duet song. It was so cute to see her break out of her shell a bit and do a singing part with a microphone! Who is this kid? Anyone who knows her knows she's been pretty shy her whole life, and is just now starting to pull out of that!

The family after the show. (me, Alyssa, my dad Mike, niece Annie, my mom Isolde, Sidney, and nephew Jeremiah)
So cool to get a photo with BOTH of your grandmothers!

Okay, now JACK also had a show this year - his first EVER! His preschool put on a Christmas Story show. Jack was a shepherd, and it was so cute, he got to stand in the very front row, which was perfect for picture taking. I could tell he was singing VERY loud when he knew the words, and he also yawned NUMEROUS times - I think about 30 times during the whole show, I actually caught many on camera, so I'm really not exaggerating!

Yup, there's a classic Jack yawn. At least he wasn't pickin' his nose like that other cutie!
